What's This All About!

The first night of club can be confusing. For the new clubber it is a new world, with a new language to learn and new rules to follow. For the returning clubber it can be a night of anxiety. Will my friends be back? Will that leader who always helped me be there?  Will I like Sparks, T&T, Trek or Journey? The first night can be great fun! Having a theme like What's this all about? can help kick your year off right.

Opening:Ask the question. What's This All About? See what answers you get! See what the kids think this is all about. Go over the 5 count and opening ceremonies.  This is a great refresher for returning clubber too!

Handbook time: Explain, explain, explain. Go over expectations and  rules.   Hand out new books and Flight 3:16/Start Zones/Trek Check/Faith Foundations.

Game Time: Explain the circle rules. Run some basic Awana game to get the kids use to or refreshed on the way you play on the Awana Circle.

Counsel Time: So What is this all about? Jesus. That's it. Spend your time telling the story of Art Rorheim and his dream for kids. Tell them the plan of Salvation. Because ultimately that is what Awana, and life, are all about.
